However, in December, I paid off 3 collections accounts and several of my credit cards. It has been fluctuating by 10-12 points one way or the other for about 4-6 weeks, which I know is understandable. At the time that I started working on my credit in earnest, my credit score was 579. In doing some research, I found out that my credit score after I got out of my last bankruptcy was 419. I started in earnest with this around October/November of 2023. My house burned down in December 2022, and we are currently in the rebuilding stages of the home, and I have been working on my credit so I can furnish my house when it is completed. First of all, I have had to file two bankruptcies in the past, but I have been out of the most recent one since 2014. At its highest point, my score was a 620, so I'm just trying to get back there - at all! I'm new nere, and I'm trying to get an understanding of something that is going on with my credit score. Does anyone have any idea what could be going on here? I'm trying so hard to do everything right, and everything seems to be going in the reverse. When I checked my report for changes, the collections accounts had dropped off, and some of the credit cards were showing a $0.00 balance. So, I have been working hard on getting everything all taken care of, just to find that my credit score dropped by 87 points from yesterday to today. I paid down by JCP card that had a $500 CL since it was opened, and Synchrony, on, reduced my limit from $500 to $370, leaving me about $15 AC. Hi, all! I'm new nere, and I'm trying to get an understanding of something that is going on with my credit score.
